Don’t You Know That You’re Toxic?

Interesting post from Every Day FeminismHERE discussing Toxicity in Activist Spaces. I don’t agree with everything that is said, and think that we need to me mindful of critiquing the legitimate and righteous anger of others to ensure that we don’t fall into the trap of tone policing. It is nice however, to see someone engaging in a more nuanced way with the how, when calling others out, we need to be mindful of our own privileges as well endeavouring to make our criticisms accessible and not to too quick to make assumptions about the experiences, identities and abilities of others. It is good to see activist communities thinking critically about how we call each other out, and how to respond to being called out too. Food for thought here.
